Here at Potter’s Hand Publishing I am offering a book Review service for authors of Christian books.

About book reviewing:

Most independent reviewers do free reviews. But it takes months before your book comes up on their list for a no-guarantee review. One person promised to review my novel a year from now! Many reviewers are so overloaded, they no longer accept books at all.

Many reviewers also believe book reviews must be free in order to be honest. Kirkus Reviews, however, charges INDIE authors “standard service (7-9 weeks) or express service (3-4 weeks), . . . (standard service $425, express service $575).”

Reading and evaluating a book requires hours of work. Reviewers should charge a reasonable but not an excessive fee for their services along with giving a fair and honest review in a timely manner.

Here’s why book reviews are so important:

Reviews fuel sales. Readers buy books based on good reviews. They will buy a five-star rated book over a one-star book about the same subject matter. I do!

Here’s how to request a book review:

Here’s what I offer:

1. I offer private or public reviews.
2. Public reviews are books that are rated 4 to 5 stars.
3. Reviews will be posted at the sites you request.
4. Your book review will be posted on this site along with a cover photo and your bio.

5. Private reviews are given for books that need revision.
I do not post books that I would rate 1 to 3 stars, but I will give a private review with constructive ideas for revision. The fee still applies.

6. I will review your book before or after it is published. I accept INDIE books. I only accept electronic books through Smashwords, Kindle, or .pdf format. You don’t need to send a paperback copy.

Here are the book review fees:

7. Fee for Books up to 200 published pages : $35.00
8. Books 201 to 300 published pages : $45.00
9. Books 301 to 450 maximum published pages : $55.00

Please note my focus is Christian books. I do not review demonic, erotica, ghosts or the spirit world, paranormal, poetry, fantasy, witchcraft, or technical manuals.
